WMCCM Forges Links with India’s Small Firms |

A new partnership between small firms in India and the West Midlands has been launched at the University of Warwick by the UKCCM team. Mr Anupam Dasgupta, Secretary to the Government of India Ministry of Small Scale Industries and Ministry of Agro and Rural Industries launched this partnership when he visited the University recently.
UKCCM Director, Dr Jay Bal, leading this project says, “India is the 3rd biggest investor in the UK and effective partnerships and collaborations between West Midlands and Indian SMEs can offer great opportunities for both sides. They can lead to lowered costs, new products or to new market opportunties. This is a win-win opportunity for both local companies and Indian partner SMEs. The Indian’s are very interested in the on-line systems and services provided by UKCCM to assist small firms. India itself is a huge potential market for UK small firms and with this partnership we can make the connections and support the relationships". WMCCM wins new Funds to assist more West Midlands Companies |

Further help for West Midlands SMEs
Thanks to the help and support of their members and partners. The UKCCM Team are now happy to announce that we have secured further funding from European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for another 2 years. We are now ready to continue to add to the successes of the past four years and recruit new UKCCM members in the West Midlands area.
The 'no cost' support available from the UKCCM project to Objective 2 companies has assisted over 200 local SME's resulting in new sales worth over £3.8million. Read the full Story in our Newsletter.
